10 years ago on December 23rd, 2008, I bought my first DSLR camera. A gift to myself, a desperate last ditched effort to leave behind an old lifestyle and create a new life and honest way of living. It worked, I became obsessed and taught myself how to use the camera through trial and error. 10 years later and I’m thankful to be living in L.A and doing what I love.
I can’t help but believe in destiny, since I was young I've had premonitions and visions of being where I am today. The scary and exciting part is that the vision is nowhere near complete.
The camera has saved my life. Saved me from crime. Saved me from depression. Saved me from alcoholism. Taken me around the world. Given me life. Helped me grow. Given me purpose. Taken me to places I’ve only dreamed of. Put food on my table. Helped me be free. Helped me connect with people, animals and the earth in ways I didn’t think were possible. Forever grateful and excited to continue the journey of this life. Deep down I’m still a young kid with big dreams.
